MURRAY’S CARIBBEAN FOODS

Today, more than ever before, we delight in experiencing great diversity in ethnic cuisine. Samuel Murray, a noted New York restaurateur of Jamaican ancestry, has devoted more than 30 years to the preparation and presentation of his unique Jamaican Jerk Sauce. This savory sauce is not only delectable to the taste, but also offers a versatility that complements a variety of ethnic dishes.

As a former U.S. Marine sergeant, Sam had the opportunity to travel around the world, experiencing a myriad of ethnic cuisines. He opened his first restaurant in New York City, offering his special brand of authentic Caribbean dishes. His culinary expertise garnered him glowing accolades from his clientele and rave reviews from the media. As a result, he was commissioned to do the famous poster, “Come Hommme”, by both Air Jamaica and the Jamaican Tourist Board.

Sam’s culinary journey led him to establish Murray’s Caribbean Foods, Inc., in 2001. He produces his own Murray’s Jamaican Jerk Sauce (Mild and Hot), in addition to Murray’s Pickled Peppers, based on a family recipe handed down through the generations. These products can be used when preparing all types of dishes. With a little imagination and a touch of Murray’s Jamaican Jerk Sauce, you can add that “special something” to your dish….vegetables, fish, meat, etc.

Presently, Murray’s Jamaican Jerk Sauces can be purchased at New York’s own Zabar’s, located at Broadway and 80th Street and Lincoln Market, located at Frederick Douglass and 121st Street, with more locations, recipes and cooking
